Hi, I'm Bethany

Founder of The Kairos Bridge, LLC

I began my professional journey in the world of science and medicine — as a pharmacist and later as a professor in pharmacy and medicine. I spent years studying data, analyzing problems, and training future clinicians to think critically. But when I became a mom, and later a bonus mom, I found myself in a different kind of classroom: my own home.

Suddenly, the challenges weren’t just theoretical. They were real, raw, and sometimes overwhelming. I wasn’t just trying to understand a disease pathway — I was trying to understand a child’s meltdown at bedtime. I wasn’t grading exams — I was trying to decode eye rolls, slammed doors, and silent tears. I was navigating not just behaviors, but hearts.

And then, in the middle of it all, came heartbreak. Betrayal. A season that stripped away my illusions of control and forced me to confront something deeper:

We were designed by God to live fully in relationship — with Him, with others, and within ourselves. Our emotions, thoughts, and actions were meant to work together in harmony, not competition.

Through pain, God peeled back layers I didn’t know were there. I started to see that the struggles I faced as a parent weren’t just about my children — they were mirrors, revealing the parts of my own heart that still needed tending.

How God Called Me to The Kairos Bridge

From Expertise to Embodiment

I had spent decades teaching others how to think. But parenting invited me to feel, to grow, to heal.

I went back to school and earned my Master’s in Child Psychology, not to collect another credential, but to understand the inner world of children — and adults — more deeply. What I discovered changed everything:

Parenting isn’t about control; it’s about becoming the example. Social emotional learning theory reminds us that children mirror the behaviors and emotional patterns they observe. They can’t grow into what we don’t first embody, and that needs to be the likeness of Christ.

Once that realization was unlocked, I dove headfirst into writing books, creating resources, and developing frameworks that help parents do the courageous work of parenting the parts of themselves that were left behind in childhood, so they can live fuller lives and raise children who do the same.

The Kairos Bridge exists because God took my training, my experiences, and my passion for His truth and knit them together for a purpose: to help parents build strong, grace-filled connections with their children while walking in the freedom of Christ.

The Method That Changed Everything

Notice It • Name It • Nurture It

Out of this journey was born the Notice It • Name It • Nurture It method — a simple, deeply biblical, psychologically sound framework for transforming emotional moments into opportunities for growth and connection.

  • Notice It
Before we can respond wisely, we have to see clearly. This means pausing long enough to observe what’s happening inside us, inside our child, and in the space between. What emotions, behaviors, or cues are surfacing? What’s driving the moment?

  • Name It
Once we notice, we give language to it. We name the feeling, the need, the fear, or the longing. When we name something, we bring it from the shadows into the light — where God can meet us with truth, and where understanding can replace confusion.

  • Nurture It
Finally, we respond with intention. We meet the moment with compassion, guidance, boundaries, or comfort. We nurture what is good, tend to what is hurting, and invite God to reshape what is misaligned.

This method isn’t just for children — it’s for us, too. It helps us rewire our own emotional patterns, bring awareness to our internal world, and build healthier ways of relating.

Bridging Science, Scripture & Soul

The Kairos Bridge is where developmental psychology science meets the timeless truth of Scripture. I bring my background in pharmacy, academia, business leadership, and psychology together with my deep faith to help families build bridges — from confusion to connection, from reaction to reflection, from survival to Spirit-led thriving.

I’ve lived this journey. I’ve wrestled with the mess and tasted the beauty on the other side. And now, I walk with parents, caregivers, and communities who are ready to do the same.

If you’re longing for more than quick fixes… if you want to raise emotionally intelligent, spiritually grounded kids while growing into the fullness of who God created you to be —

Welcome. You’ve found your bridge. 🌿
